The 'S' type bus was a goods-coach passenger chasis powered by a J-type 4 cylinder 5.1 litre 35h.p. side-valve petrol engine with a 3-speed gearbox.
The seating capacity was 54, 24 downstairs(inside) and 30 upstairs(outside). It was in service from 1922-1931.
