With the 250SE's tyres shredded by car-stopping spikes, Bond powers on, driving his Mercedes onto the East German railway tracks to pursue General Orlov's nuclear bomb across the border. Sadly, this classic of German auto engineering comes to a sticky end, launched into the air by an oncoming locomotive, only to land in a fishing lake.
